Chuo Bus means Central bus, orginates from japan Central islands. (means tokyo and stuffs)

A typical japanese Plastic Side Desto....

A Hino? in Fuji Heavy Ind bodywork / Chuo bus Svc 10 - going across a traffic junction...

A hino? with FHI (Fuji Heavy Industries) bodywork /  Svc665 Unknown local green livery bus co Asahigawa
Note the use of EDS and boxing up of svc  numbers.  Are the numbers easier to read when boxed up? hmmm

Night shot of a hino? FHI  / Svc 62 that green livery Asahigawa

Offside shot of one of them Miji Aero Stars...

Alert! Environmentally friendly vehicle alert! Alternative Fuel bus alert!! Alert! New bus alert!
A Hino Ribbon 2 (Latest designs) HYBRID bus!  Pity the EDS got obscured due to the birght sunlight .

    • Offside shot of one of them FHi hino? bus...

got red colour bus co in Asahiagwa... note the offisde has a radiator for this FHI bus...

A Nissan Diesel Space Cruiser bodywork bus. Rather ugly thing i must say. Note the use of a slope on the WAB logo to denote a one step slope ramp.
The bus has a step entrance but yet is able to accomodate PIW in bus. They roll themselves up using a rather high inclined  sloped ramp coming out from the step to kerb. Again the birght sunlight obscured the EDS.

    • A Isuzu gala coach doing intertown service . Here we are at a rest point and it jjust so happen the domestic town to tonw express services call here. note that JR rail and Chuo bus both run inter state-town bus services in hokkaido.

Hino Ribbon 2 - one step WAB / JR Rail Hokkaido Bus (JHB) Svc 6  - taken at JR Tower Bus Interchange
JR Tower consists of a underground bus int - a big mall (With Daimaru) - A Subway station Interchange with at least 3 subway lines meeting.

An Isuzu Erga One step WAB / Chuo bus Svc 188 - taken at JR Tower semi cirular bus stop area. hidng behind the isuzu is my  Mithsubishi Aero Queen coach parked. And behind the bus is a domestic express bus also from Chuo bus.

the one step ramp entrance. i wonder how the ramp looks like when open....

    • An Isuzu Cubic - looks very much like a bolton (Australia)  Bodywork Renault PR 100.2's front..actually its the same... / Svc East Line 63 (MRT Feeder) Chuo bus.

Apparently the sloped ramp PIW logo also refers to very  inclined ramps like this one when fully opened...(Isuzu Cubic entrance door)

    • Just a question, does Japan only use Japanese brands for their buses (i.e. Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Hino, Nissan etc) or do they also import foreign brands? If so, what brands?

An express svc from Airport. Seen here picking up pax who juz arrived from planes. This one goes Kowloon ordan and yau ma tei areas.

Dennis Trident III / Alexander ALX 500 bodywork. 9Cd be ALX400 oso)
      Long Win Svc E33
I have this impression that the E series of aiporrt express bus services do not leave the lantau island where the airport is...

It is not unusual for Long Win bus co buses to open their ramps while at the Airport Bus Terminus . Here a pax with roll on luggage is about to enter the ramp for this Dennis trident III / ALX 500 bus.

    • manged to spot a Scania n113DRb in Alexander bodywork.
tough to diffrentiate the bus out from the many Alxander bodywork buses. had to see rear engine, run to front jjump up n down to see the dash..confirm is scania then bbaord bus..lol
Notice the Bus driver had to paste what the indicators meant in chiense in stickers at dash.
gear selector indicates its a voith so expectedly the bus sounds like our n113CRB.
(um i din manage to get a shot of scania bus ouside)

    • HKEC Bus terminal.
MAn (oooh i love MANs) a hem  .. MAN Nl262 / ?? bodywork looks MAN integrated (WAB)
      Citybus Svc 25A
Oddly ennough this NL262 the engine sounds more like a Volvo B10BLE or Lance and the gearbox is like a very smooth ZF. cd be Allison. Hardly sounds like a typical MAn bus.

Volvo B10TL (Volvo Super olympian - VSO) / Wrightbus ?Gemini? (WAB)
KMB Service 961 The first digit 9 indicates it is a Cross harbor <using one of the three cross harbor tunnel>..service.
The deep brown band in the livery indicates it is a very new batch of WAb bus for KMB. Suspect the dash might be new generation volvo and produce dit dit dit singal sounds like our B9TLs. Anyhow did manged to ride in one of these "dit dit" B10TLs on a KM Svc 9.

front shot of same bus. nice front.

Toyota Coaster--many of these minibus in hong Kong. green means stop at bus stop only. got red one means stop anywhere cna pick up and drop off. use them like feeder bus.

Yutong ZK6100H Coach / integrated bodywork means by yutong themselves
aiyah just the coach that brought me to airport after  our tour.

king Loong 61xx series bus / king Loong bodywork

here a KMB 234X (Volvo B10TL) in ALX500 bodywork. ) waits pateintly at a traffic jjunction while i conveinently was crossing, see no car block camera snap lol

      A KMB Svc 1 Enviro 500 i just took n i shoot after alighting.

MAN 24.310 double decker MAn  / Berkhoff (Holland) bodywork (now under VDL)
umm my only pathetic EDS gone shot of this thing in HK. din even sit one..sads

hee din realise is a MAN coach. anyhow whats more crazy is:  it is a M-trans (Malaysia) bodywork bus. M-trans coach is more common in Malaysia of cuz. erm Mmind the signpost as we were rushing ard  looking for a cha chan ting to makan lunch so cd not get a proper shot...

    • Neoplan Centroliner
Specially design for Hong ong as a double deck WAb . big hoo haa when luanched in Hk. so big hoo haa hee

      neoplan Cnetroliner / integrated
KMB Svc 269C. let's board the bus

Mid-aft to rear shot - lower deck

PIW area nearside between front n rear door

rear to front lower deck. observe the air heater style vents for a/c. probabaly fashion after air heater in german Neoplan buses.

      upper deck front to rear

me n mmy folks loved the big windscreen at upper deck. No!, not advisible to rest legs at front. dirty the area n very bad safety aspect. hahah .

Manny have told me Neoplan are noisy. oddly enough this unit was dead quiet. i had to go downstair to hear engine sound properly. Zf gearnox shifts real quick and smooth. likely a 6 speed. left my frens upstair enjoy view or sleeping. cuz very quiet.

    • the dit dit Wrightbus VSO svc 9 ride

      Wrightbus gemini bbus.

      lets board the bus

lower deck mid aft to rear. very crowded. Bbus Svc 9 duplciates MTR line from Wong tai Sin to star ferry. Runs as fast s MTR train. in my opinion.

.lot of cruves in design of Wrightbbus. Stariwell

Mid aft upper deck to front.
Nice curves integrated to fit in the PIS (Passenger information Signage).
the red colour indicator at PIS area indicates bell is pressed for next stop.

Cute rear runded window at back. Mid aft - to rear upper deck

No luggage allowed at front place of upper deck hor.
